WORKSHOP | Dry-Point with Margot Casstevens

  • Terrain Gallery 304 W. Pacific Ave. #190 Spokane, WA 99201 (map)

Dry-point is a print process from the 15th century that mimics drawing. The image is created by scratching into a soft surface with a steel needle, rubbing ink into the incised lines and running the inked plate through an etching press. The image usually has a soft pencil look as the ink is held both in the incised line and in the 'burr' created by the scratching process.

This workshop is led by local artist and teacher Margot Casstevens, and will take place in the Tangible Gestures • Terrain Gallery Show.
