Terrain 2011 - Spokane

Love, fame, wealth, one’s next meal? NEED | WANT is a juried art exhibition concerned with the way contemporary American society assigns value and priority. What do we need as people? What do we need as a society? What do we merely want? Is there any difference? How do these priorities shift over time? How do they become distorted? We’re looking for artists of all ages and disciplines, working in any media, to submit work concerned with these issues for consideration in an exhibition that will run from October 14, 2011 through January 7, 2012 at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture in Spokane, Wash. NEED | WANT is a collaboration between the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture and Terrain, a grassroots, non-profit organization seeking to connect generations of artists with each other and to promote the arts in the community at large.
